Knowing the proper way of caring for clothes helps keep them in good condition. Here are some tips on how to care for your Sitrah apparel so that they remain pristine for a long time to come.

100% COTTON

Sitrah uses only high quality natural cotton fabrics sourced from the top cotton mills of the world. Clothes made from natural fibres are light to wear and highly absorbent and, hence, provide maximum comfort to the wearer.

Some pointers on caring for your Sitrah Cottons:

  • Always separate your washings into colour categories e.g. whites with whites, dark colours with dark colours, bright colours with bright colours etc.
  • Hand-washing is preferred but, if you must machine-wash, do so only on a GENTLE cycle to better preserve the fabric.
  • Line-drying is preferred as tumble drying may be hard on the collars and the cuffs. If line-drying is difficult, tumble-dry on a LOW cycle only.
  • To minimise wrinkles, line-dry as soon as washing is done.
  • For specific instructions, refer to the garment’s sewn-in care label.
  • Sitrah Cottons may be treated with most wrinkle resistant fabric sprays to create a more resilient finish – check with the fabric spray manufacturers to confirm suitability of use on Sitrah products.

Some tips on ironing your Sitrah Cottons and keeping them wrinkle-free:

  • Sitrah Cottons may be ironed and does not scorch easily – best results are obtained using steam iron set on MEDIUM heat.
  • If you do not have a steam iron, Sitrah Cottons should be ironed damp – using either a water spray or, alternatively, by dabbing the iron on a clean, damp cloth before ironing.
  • Start ironing from the collar area, followed by the cuffs, the sleeves and, lastly, the front and back of the shirt.
  • Should you need to treat heavy wrinkles on your Sitrah Cottons, continuously spray the wrinkled area with water throughout the ironing process.
  • For Sitrah tops with back pleats, iron the pleat edges along the crease line to flatten the pleats.
  • Always keep the iron in motion to further protect the fabric.
